McKoy A native of North Carolina, Dr. Sheila McKoy is the founder of Word Church of Deliverance in Newton Grove, North Carolina. An anointed vessel of God, she is a visionary and a financial guru. In 1983, Dr. McKoy answered God’s calling, entered into the ministry and was licensed by Church of God of Prophecy to preach the gospel. Sixteen years later, she yielded to the Holy Spirit and became the founding pastor of WCOD. In 2010, under her leadership and fiscal guidance, WCOD built a debt-free sanctuary. In that same year, Dr. McKoy founded Women on the Move, a ministry designed to mentor and empower women. Possessing the heart of a teacher, Dr. McKoy is passionate about motivating people to realize their spiritual destiny.
